Welcome back for the final day of the NFL Draft! The Buffalo Bills are set to have plenty of picks today. The Bills chose to select RB Ray Davis out of Kentucky with their first pick today. With the selection, the Bills fill a void that was left by Damien Harris and Latavius Murray in the off-season. Bills fans, and local media expected the Bills to select a running back somewhere in this draft, and sith Davis, they're doing just that.

With limited cap space, the Bills weren’t able to add to that position as much as they would’ve liked to, and have in years past. Now, with one of their seven draft picks on Day 3, they add the very big and productive back.

Last season in college he totaled 1,129 yards and 14 touchdowns. Davis isn't somebody the Bills met with pre-draft, but his talent was too much to pass up. After losing their two power backs in free agency and retirement, adding somebody who can lower the shoulder was a need.

With this pick, the Bills set themselves up for the future, and have some insurance in case of an injury. Last year, the Bills suffered a multitude of injuries across their team, but specifically at running back. The Bills continue to draft the best players at positions they need, and they aren’t trading away any draft picks to get it done.

In a couple of years from now, Davis will be a productive player with a big role with Buffalo. Enjoy this draft Bills fans, we’re officially entering a new era of Buffalo Bills football. A duo of James Cook and Ray Davis should have Bills fans excited for what's to come.

We saw a run on the running back position early and often yesterday and today, so Buffalo being able to find somebody like Davis on Day 3 is a win in my books. Davis and Keon Coleman are players Bills fans will grow to appreciate having on their team, and will play pivitol roles to their success.
