4.) Miami Dolphins

Durham Smythe, Tyler Kroft, Eric Saubert, Elijah Higgins

The Dolphins tight end room does not look to be like a threat to opposing defenses on their schedule. Luckily, they have the best wide receiver core in the division which makes up for it. For the past five seasons, the Dolphins have had Mike Gesicki as their starting tight end who was a decent receiving tight end. Entering 2023, the Dolphins tight end room could be the weak link of their team.

Durham Smythe only has 809 career receiving yards in five seasons. Tyler Kroft has been a journeyman throughout his NFL career (including a brief stop in Buffalo with the Bills). Eric Saubert has been in the league since 2017 and just reached over 100 receiving yards in a season last year with the Denver Broncos. Then there is Elijah Higgins who was just drafted by Miami this past year.

It’s safe to say that the Dolphins have the least dangerous tight end room in the AFC East division. What they lack in the tight end room, they make up for it at wide receiver which will be the main core to put points up on the board for the Dolphins.
