3.) New York Jets

Tyler Conklin, C.J. Uzomah, Jeremy Ruckert, Zack Kuntz

The Jets are placed third on this list because they at least have a little bit more production career-wise than the Dolphins at tight end. Tyler Conklin has been a decent tight end the last two seasons, in which he has caught for over 500 receiving yards in both seasons as well as three touchdowns each.

C.J. Uzomah signed into a bad situation last season when he joined the Jets where he only racked up 232 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 15 games. Jeremy Ruckert only played in nine games where he had one catch for 8 yards.

Kuntz was just drafted by the Jets in the seventh round in April. The very least to say is that the Jets can provide more volume than the Dolphins tight end room, but it’s still not a true threat to the Bills or Patriots tight ends.

One upside of this core is that they will have an upgrade in quarterback with Aaron Rodgers and they may be utilized more than they were last season. Although, much like the Dolphins, the Jets have a solid receiving core that is led by offensive rookie of the year last season in Garrett Wilson.
