A.J. Klein

A.J. Klein is familiar with the Buffalo Bills and Sean McDermott as he played earlier in his career with the Carolina Panthers for McDermott when he was defensive coordinator. He would re-join McDermott in Buffalo and play most of the last three seasons with the Bills from 2020 to 2022.

He was with the team earlier this season and appeared in two games but only on special teams. Klein was released in December but after Tyrel Dodson's injury, the Bills signed him to the practice squad on Thursday.

The injuries quickly mounted at linebacker as Baylon Spector and Terrel Bernard would leave early. A.J. Klein not only became a starter but would be the one relaying the play call from the sideline. Klein would go on to lead the Bills in tackles with 11 and really helped give the defense some stability when they needed it most.
