Shaq Lawson

Shaq Lawson was a first round pick by the Bills in 2016 and after leaving in free agency with stops in Miami, Houston, and New York with the Jets, he returned in 2022.

Over the past two seasons, he has started only seven games but has played over 30% each year. During that period, he has 44 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 16 QB hits.

The Buffalo Bills need depth at defensive end and enter this offseason with some big questions at the position. Do they release Von Miller? Can they re-sign Leonard Floyd, A.J. Epenesa, or both? This leaves only Greg Rousseau and Kingsley Jonathan as the two players seemingly locked in for a spot on the 90-man roster.

It would make sense for the team to bring back a player like Shaq Lawson, who may not be flashy but is steady as a player to be one of those final rotational players. The Buffalo Bills could then have some flexibility heading into free agency and ultimately the NFL Draft which will keep them from reaching for a player.
