4 free agents the Buffalo Bills could sign to replace Nyheim Hines

The options are pretty limited for the Buffalo Bills to find a replacement for Nyheim Hines at this point of the offseason.

J.D. McKissic

The one running back that is probably the best fit to replace Nyheim Hines is J.D. McKissic but it may be a little more complicated than some of the other options. McKissic is probably the closest to Hines in terms of a receiver out of the backfield and has 220 career receptions, including 80 in 2020 with Washington.

McKissic also has probably the most experience among all the running backs returning kickoffs with 57 career returns and an average of 19 yards per return.

However, the reason that this deal may be a little more complicated than the others is that there may still be some unresolved issues between the two sides. Last offseason, the Bills had agreed to a two-year deal with McKissic but Washington would reach out after the deal was announced, but not signed, and convince McKissic to return.

J.D. McKissic is once again a free agent and certainly could replace almost everything Nyheim Hines was going to do but it will be interesting to see if the Buffalo Bills can look past what happened last offseason.
