4 former Buffalo Bills draft picks who are probably done in the NFL
Reggie Ragland
The Buffalo Bills drafted Reggie Ragland in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft and at the time he looked like a perfect fit in Rex Ryan's defense. He is more of a traditional downhill linebacker that can defend the run but struggles in pass protection.
After missing his entire rookie season due to a torn ACL, he would be traded prior to the 2017 season because his skill set didn't fit the defense that Sean McDermott wanted to run. The reason is that he utilizes more nickel and asks his linebackers to be able to drop back more into coverage.
Ragland would be traded to the Chiefs and play three seasons there while being a starter in 2018. That would be a career year for Ragland as he had 86 total tackles, one interception, and two tackles for a loss.
Since the 2019 season Ragland has moved around with short stops with the Detroit Lions, New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders and Cleveland Browns. At only 29 years old, Ragland could still have some football left but as the league moves to being more pass-heavy and teams asking linebackers to contribute more in that part of the defense, Ragland's skill set may not fit in the NFL.
