Of the four players on this list, Sammy Watkins is certainly the most surprising both from where he was drafted and how he started his career. The Buffalo Bills would not only select him fourth overall in the 2014 NFL Draft but also trade up to have the chance to make the pick.

The hope was that Sammy Watkins would be the next Andre Reed or Eric Moulds as the next great wide receiver in the Buffalo Bills franchise. During those first two years, it looked like he was well on his way to doing that with over 2,000 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns.

However, in his third year, he would play only eight games after suffering a broken foot during the offseason. After that season, the Bills made a change by naming Sean McDermott head coach and Brandon Beane as the general manager.

That offseason, the Bills would trade a number of players like Reggie Ragland but none more surprising than Sammy Watkins being traded to the Los Angeles Rams. He was only 24 years old and looked like he had plenty of great football ahead of him.

However, that really wouldn't transpire as he would never have more than 700 receiving yards in a season or 55 receptions while catching passes from quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Aaron Rodgers.

He has yet to sign with a team this offseason and at 30 years old, he may have a tough time landing on a team or making a notable impact. When coming out of Clemson he was considered one of the more complete wide receivers but that hasn't materialized over the past nine seasons.
