We are heading into the Buffalo Bills’ second consecutive primetime matchup of the season and they are facing a familiar foe. The Jacksonville Jaguars are no joke, despite coming into this game at 0-2. The Jaguars have beaten the Bills in their last two meetings. Buffalo finally gets Jacksonville in front of Bills Mafia.

It’s 2-0 vs. 0-2, and this could easily be a trap game for the Bills. They haven’t played since Week 2 Thursday Night Football and they will have to wait until Monday night to take on Jacksonville. The good news is that the Bills have had a good test this season when they faced the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. The Miami Dolphins weren’t exactly testing the Bills last week.

With the Jaguars having the Bills’ number in recent memory, it will be crucial for Buffalo to not let this game get out of control and find a way to get their third win. With that being said, we make four bold predictions for the Bills against the Jaguars.

1.) Gabe Davis gets held to under 50 receiving yards

The former Bill is returning back in front of the fans that cheered him on for the past four years. Gabe Davis was drafted by the Bills in 2020 and played some of his best football in Buffalo. Unfortunately, Davis was a huge up-and-down production player. He either was the main go-to guy, or he was nowhere to be found.

Through the first two weeks of the season, Davis currently has the second most receiving yards on the Jaguars with 105 yards. With Buffalo’s secondary dominant performance against Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Tua Tagovailoa in Week 2, there is a legitimate chance that Davis is also kept quiet in Week 3.

Rasul Douglas and Christian Benford have been spectacular, along with strong play from Cam Lewis.

2.) Bills defense gets 2+ takeaways

Buffalo’s defense has four takeaways in the first two games, and they are looking to add more. The Bills tend to play great situational football and that includes attacking the ball. Jacksonville has just one turnover so far in two games, but with them having to play in front of a rowdy Bills fanbase, they are bound to make a mistake and turn the ball over.

3.) James Cook continues his momentum

It was a fantastic performance by the third-year back in his hometown of Miami. James Cook put on a show with three total touchdowns and was the star of the show rather than Josh Allen. Cook is showing the Bills that he can be a franchise back for Buffalo early on this season and will now get to show off in front of Bills Mafia.

The Jaguars are giving up over 100 yards on the ground this year and the Bills should be able to control the clock with the rushing attack. The duo of Cook and rookie Ray Davis has been solid in the first two games, and the Bills should look to get the running game going early and often.

4.) This game comes down to the wire

Believe it or not, these are the kind of games where Buffalo has to play tough for all four quarters. They got a little bit of a break against Miami, but not every team is just going to struggle against the Bills. It’s Monday Night Football in Buffalo and there is no better way to end a game than having it come down to the wire.

Whether it comes to the team having the ball last or not, Bills fans should expect to stay engaged and nervous throughout the entire game. Even though the Jaguars are 0-2, it’s a new week and anything is possible.
