The Buffalo Bills offensive line improved dramatically

One major critique of the Bills' offense last year was their o-line, which ranked 23rd in PFF last year. There were a lot of critiques on players like Dion Dawkins, Roger Saffold, and especially Spencer Brown.

However, the Bills focused on adding some new faces on the interior, one being free agent Connor McGovern from the Cowboys and second-round-rookie O'Cyrus Torrence. Both players were valuable in the run game, helping the team finish seventh in rushing yards on the season and allowing Cook to be the Bills' first 1,000-yard rusher since Lesean McCoy in 2017.

Another notable improvement was the team's pass-blocking, which players like Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown dramatically improved. Dawkins was heavily criticized in 2022 for his performance as Allen's blindside tackle but had an all-pro type of year by only allowing one sack all season. Spencer Brown's PFF statistics have improved dramatically from a season ago, especially when he finished with a PFF grade of 51.4 in 2022 and then finished with a PFF grade of 68.1 this year. 

This is big for the team going forward, as management won't have to worry too much about beefing up the offensive line as much as they did last offseason. The team can focus on the other holes that they have on the team, especially with the Bills going into the offseason with over $40 million over the cap. 

Overall, the Bills have been very successful throughout recent years, especially this year when they had their backs against the wall. The whole team was injured but rallied together and made a push in the postseason. 

There's still that big hump that the Bills have to get over, which is the Chiefs and Mahomes. The Bills have a generational talent at quarterback, and they want to push for the Super Bowl while he's still in his prime. The Bills will need to find a way to improve their offensive woes this offseason, even with their cap situation.
