No. 3: Wide Receiver Keon Coleman:
Perhaps the most talked about Buffalo Bill since April is second-round receiver Keon Coleman. The rookie has huge shoes to fill, as he is expected to slot in as the team's new number-one receiver. However, expecting him to be an All-Pro right away is unfair. The team faced some criticism when they traded back with the Chiefs, allowing them to take 40-yard dash record holder, Xavier Worthy, and the Bills ultimately ending up with Coleman. Coleman is a freak athlete, with a huge catch radius, and a lot of the generated criticism has come from a not-so-good forty-yard dash time.
Well, good forty times or not, Coleman is showing out at the Bills’ training camp. He’s been getting open and showing why the team took him. Every day he’s made a highlight reel catch and showed off his strong hands and catch radius. He’s hauled in numerous touchdown passes as well. Granted, Josh Allen has made some great throws and is red hot to open camp himself, but Coleman is showing a lot to be excited about. He’s not beating some slouches either, Coleman has been doing very well against Christian Benford, the NFL’s highest-graded zone-coverage corner last season, and Rasul Douglas.
Coleman will keep getting better as time goes on, and it’s going to be very fun watching him get his first game action next week.
