PFF's top 101 undeniably proves that Josh Allen was deserving of MVP award

This is just another point that proves that the MVP was in Buffalo in 2024.

The 2024 NFL season was a successful one for the Buffalo Bills, even they came up short in the AFC championship game. With the lack of high expectations going into the season, the Bills overachieved despite a roster revamp in the prior offseason. Not a lot of fans and analysts thought that the Bills could repeat as AFC East champs, let alone make the playoffs…how did that work out for the doubters?

The biggest headline that came out of the season for the Bills was their star quarterback Josh Allen winning his first MVP award of his career (and rightfully so). In a close MVP race with Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson, the NFL voters thought that Allen was more valuable to the Bills than Jackson was to the Ravens.

Whether you agree with the decision or not, Allen was the true MVP in 2024 and if took him off of the Bills team that played in 2024, there is no way that they would have won more than four games.

Pro Football Focus (PFF) published their top 101 players list from the 2024 season (Mason Cameron, Dalton Wasserman, and Max Chadwick) and all that this list proves is that Allen was the clear MVP of the league as compared to Jackson.

The Bills had five players land on PFF’s list, with only one making it in the top 50. Here are the final rankings of each Bill that was featured on this list according to PFF:

No. 6: QB Josh Allen

"He is the first quarterback in PFF history to earn a 90.0-plus grade in five straight seasons, surpassing Tom Brady, who did it four times in a row from 2015 to 2018. On top of his amazing playmaking ability, Allen recorded a career-low 2.6% turnover-worthy play rate."
Pro Football Focus

No. 67: CB Christian Benford

"He finished the regular season with the fourth-best coverage grade among qualified cornerbacks with an 82.8 mark. He also missed just two tackles all year."
Pro Football Focus

No. 76: RB James Cook

"Including the postseason, Cook tied for the NFL lead with 19 rushing touchdowns this season while finishing eighth among running backs with an 88.6 rushing grade. He also set new career highs with 47 missed tackles forced and 3.24 yards after contact per attempt. "
Pro Football Focus

No. 96: DE Greg Rousseau

"During the regular season, the 24-year-old pass-rusher generated 63 total pressures — tied for the 10th most among edge defenders."
Pro Football Focus

No. 97: OL Spencer Brown

"In the playoffs, the Bills tackle emerged as a true impact blocker, as he earned an 83.5 PFF overall grade — fourth highest among all offensive linemen this postseason."

PFF top 101 list just proves that Josh Allen did it all himself for Bills

It’s funny that the MVP of the league isn’t ranked as the top player on this list. Instead, it’s Lamar Jackson who some fans believe that he should be the MVP of the league. Yet, the Ravens had seven players make the list and five of them were on offense, including Jackson and Derrick Henry in the top five…

Allen was the only Bill to make it in the top 50. He had two of his offensive teammates make it with Spencer Brown and James Cook, but PFF didn’t believe that they were as impactful as other players in the league. Allen did it himself for the most part for the Bills, but the good news is that Buffalo wasn’t Josh Allen-depenedent as much as they once were. At the same time, Allen had to put on his Superman cape to save the Bills in various games.
