There you have it, Bills Mafia. Superstar quarterback Josh Allen has won his first ever career NFL MVP award (and rightfully so). Allen was a finalist for this award along with Lamar Jackson, Jared Goff, Saquon Barkley, and Joe Burrow. For a majority of the season, especially down the final stretch, it was coming down to either Allen or Jackson winning the award. It was a tight race between Allen and Jackson, but Allen got more votes in the end.
The final tally:

Josh Allen: 27-22-1-0-0: 383
Lamar Jackson: 23-26-0-1-0: 362 https://t.co/cFwn873xTt
In addition to the MVP award, Allen was also named the winner of the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.
The 2024 season was Josh Allen’s most impressive season by far of his career. Even though his 2020 season was also MVP-worthy, this past year truly showed NFL fans just how valuable Allen is to the Bills. Without him, the Bills wouldn’t even come close to making the playoffs let alone win the AFC East.
Allen finished his season with 3,731 passing yards, 28 touchdowns and a career-low 6 interceptions. He also added 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.
There is a lot that Allen accomplished, but there is one new record that truly stands out. Allen became the first player to record 40+ total touchdowns in five consecutive seasons. Just truly unreal. He also has the most wins in a player’s first seven seasons, most total touchdowns in a player’s first seven seasons, and has the most total touchdowns in Bills history surpassing Hall of Famer Jim Kelly.
Josh Allen finally gets his MVP hardware
It’s been a long time coming for Allen. He has become the face of not just the franchise, but of the city of Buffalo. Drafted from Wyoming into a bad situation, Allen has completely grown as a player and leader. It’s hard to imagine what life would be like for Bills fans if Allen was on any other team. We should be thankful that six teams ahead of the Bills made mistakes by not drafting Allen back in 2018.
Allen finished second in the MVP voting back in 2020 and he finished fifth last year. Now he finally has his MVP award that he rightfully deserves. Up next for him is to bring a Super Bowl title back to a city that is searching for their first. They have come so close the last couple of years, but they have yet to get over the hump.
Being right in the middle of his prime, Allen will always keep the Bills in the Super Bowl conversation. Now it’s just a matter of actually getting to the big game and raising the Lombardi trophy.
