For the longest time, the Buffalo Bills always had to deal with Tom Brady when they were taking on the New England Patriots. It was always dreadful because it seemed like Brady would never stop beating the Bills. Now the tables have turned just a bit with Josh Allen being on the sideline for Buffalo, while the Patriots are starting over with Drake Maye after a disastrous era with Mac Jones.

Since 2020, Josh Allen and the Bills have completely dominated the Patriots. Including the playoffs, the Bills are 7-2 against New England since Tom Brady left the Patriots. In that span, Allen has averaged 239 passing yards per game and only has three interceptions. Under Bill Belichick, the Pats defense has struggled against Allen and now this year’s defense for the Patriots is arguably worse under Jerod Mayo.

Buffalo Bills are getting an advantage for this Sunday vs. Patriots

Heading into Week 16 against Buffalo, New England’s defense, which is already weak, will be going without one of their starting cornerbacks in Marcus Jones who was ruled out with a hip injury. Jones is also the Patriots’ punt returner on special teams. In addition to Jones being ruled out, safeties Kyle Dugger (ankle/illness) and Jabrill Peppers (hamstring) are questionable heading into this game, per the Patriots X account.

With the roll that Josh Allen has been on this season and on his way to winning his first MVP award, Allen has a prime opportunity to pick apart this defense for New England. Not to mention, doing it in front of Bills Mafia will make it even more special.

The Bills’ offense has been electric the last three weeks. They have scored 17 touchdowns and have not committed a turnover, and Allen is heavily responsible for that production. With the Patriots not being at a full health, even if Dugger and Peppers do play, the Bills’ offense has a great chance to get the pass attack going early on and get up early to put pressure on Drake Maye to throw the ball and try to keep New England in the game.
