Any true NFL fan knows that Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, if not the best. He’s an all-around athlete who can do whatever he is asked to do to make sure that the Bills remain as one of the best teams in the NFL. When Buffalo drafted Allen in 2018, little did we know that he would become this dynamic quarterback that teams are fearful to play against. However, Bills fans are loving it.
While it’s so easy to get caught up in Allen’s success, it’t not always the easiest to talk about the fact that the Bills have yet to reach the Super Bowl with Allen under center. Since the 2020 season, the Bills have been knocked out of the conference championship twice and the divisional round three times.
The fact that the Bills have yet to reach a Super Bowl once with Allen is unbelievable to think about. Even though the Bills gave Allen a brand new six-year, $330 million deal with $250 guaranteed, the superstar quarterback is still facing pressure to elevate the Bills to the next level according to Lou Scataglia from NFL Spin Zone.
Scataglia listed the three quarterbacks that are “under a mountain of pressure” heading into the 2025 season and you might be surprised at the fact that he Scataglia put Josh Allen on this list with Tua Tagovailoa and Kyler Murray.
"Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have continually lost and lost in the postseason. They've not made it past the AFC Championship Game but have made the postseason in every year since 2019. At some point, the losing has to stop, right?Lou Scataglia, NFL Spin Zone
It seems like most every year, the talks fire up about the Bills winning the Super Bowl or being the clear-cut favorites in the AFC to make it, only for them to lose (mostly) to the Kansas City Chiefs when playoffs roll around."
Bills fans might not like this, but it's the truth
I get it, it might be ridiculous to imagine that Josh Allen, the reigning MVP, would be on a list like this.. However, what does he have to show for it when it comes to deep in the playoffs? All that we have had to watch was Josh Allen and the Bills come up short every single year (almost against the Chiefs every year).
We know that Allen can’t do everything by himself and that’s why Brandon Beane went and drafted a bunch of defensive help to go with the defensive signings he made in free agency. The Bills have no issue scoring the ball, but there are times when Buffalo gets off to a slow start on offense that eventually comes back to haunt them.
