There are many NFL teams that have huge questions at the quarterback position. No matter how good a team is at various positions, the team can only go so far if they don’t have an above average quarterback. The Buffalo Bills are extremely lucky to have a quarterback like Josh Allen who has become one of the league’s best since 2020.
He’s a three-time Pro Bowler and the league’s defending MVP. Without him, the Bills wouldn’t win a lot of their games. That’s what makes him so valuable to this team. He is constantly setting NFL records and franchise history. Just last week against the Steelers, Allen set the record for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback that was originally held by Cam Newton.
He also became the first player in NFL history to have multiple games of 3+ rushing and 3+ passing touchdowns in a single game. With the rate that he is going, he should pass Jim Kelly for the most passing yards in Bills history, and he currently ranks 4th in rushing yards in team history. Heading into today's game, Allen can once again create history and it won't take much for him to do it.
Bills fans set up see Josh Allen make first ever NFL history in Week 14
According to the Buffalo Bills’ PR team, with one passing touchdown, Allen can become the first player in NFL history with three seasons of 20+ passing TDs and 10+ rushing TDs. He currently has 19 touchdowns through the air and 11 on the ground. I find it extremely tough to think that Allen won’t have atleast one touchdown through the air.
In addition, if Allen gets one touchdown in the air and one on the ground, he will record his 50th game of doing so.
With how good as Cincinnati’s offense is and how bad their defense is, Allen is set up to make this history but we all know that the common goal is to beat the Bengals. The only thing that matters is getting the win because the Bills are in the mix for a playoff spot and it’s not for the AFC East.
