The Buffalo Bills believed enough in a quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft to trade up early in the first round to select. That quarterback was Wyoming's Josh Allen, who had all the tools to be successful in the NFL once he put everything together. Sure enough, he did just that and has proven to not only be one of the best quarterbacks in franchise history, but also in the entire NFL.
On Sunday, Allen and the Bills took on the Pittsburgh Steelers. A win would help the Bills maintain their spot in a crowded Wild Card field. Besides picking up a victory, Allen had the chance to make history. Unsurprisingly, he did just that.
In the fourth quarter, Allen led the Bills to the red zone with the team up 16-7. Eight yards out of the end zone, Allen took the carry himself, ran through multiple defenders, and received an extra push from behind to land in the end zone for the touchdown. This was Allen's 76th rushing touchdown of his career, and it officially broke the record for most ever by a quarterback in NFL history. The previous record was held by Cam Newton.

Josh Allen breaks Cam Newton's record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in NFL history
This is Allen we're talking about. Of course, he broke the record while still in the prime of his career!
Newton held this record for a long time, as he previously broke the record set by Otto Graham, who ran for 44 touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns.
Allen was known for his ability to throw the football deep downfield with relative ease while playing at Wyoming. He had a canon for an arm. But his most underrated ability was his agility, despite being 6-foot-5 and 240-pounds. All it really took was for Allen to land in the right destination to really thrive. Sure enough, Buffalo was just that.
Prior to the game, Allen had run for 4,513 yards and 75 touchdowns on 829 carries. This season, Allen ran for 371 yards and 10 touchdowns on 70 carries. Talk about a true matchup nightmare.
Allen is on pace to continue maintaining this lead throughout his career. However, he does have to keep an eye on Jalen Hurts, who currently has 63 rushing touchdowns with the Philadelphia Eagles, and he's bound to surpass Newton eventually.
