Well, the undefeated season is no longer in existence for the Buffalo Bills. After a sloppy primetime performance, the Bills lost at the hands of the New England Patriots, 23-20. However, if you watched that game, it should have been a bigger score by the Patriots based on how the Bills’ offense performed.
The Bills only had the lead once in this game and it didn’t last long. New England played better football on both sides of the ball and they clearly wanted it more. If you were looking for a high-scoring game from the Bills’ offense, you must be disappointed.
Josh Allen tells the harsh truth about Bills' offense in Week 5
In a game where you have a great offense led by the reigning MVP, the Bills’ offense surely didn’t play like it. After Buffalo’s loss, Josh Allen spoke with the media and according to Alex Brasky, Allen said “we shouldn’t even have been in the game with 3 turnovers.”

Allen is completely right about this. The fact that the Bills only lost by three despite three turnovers is quite amazing. First, Allen fumbled on a jet sweep-like play to tight end Dawson Knox early in the game. Then Keon Coleman had a fumble deep in Buffalo territory that the Bills lost. Allen then threw a careless interception on a drive where it looked like the Bills were going to score.
Overall, the offense looked out of sync and they should be the biggest unit to blame for this loss. After scoring 30+ points the last four consecutive games, they were lucky to even get 20 points. They have a lot of cleaning up to do going into Week 6 where they will travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons.
