In just over a week, the Buffalo Bills will kick off their 2026 season down in Houston as they will start their season against the Texans. Since January, the Bills have been changing things up on the roster and fans are going to see how it all comes together on the field.
During the preseason, Bills Mafia got to see a glimpse of it in the first preseason game against the Carolina Panthers and it was a great sight. Now, it’s time to see them for all four quarters.
Even though the Bills will look somewhat different this year (hopefully for the better), every NFL fan knows that Josh Allen is still going to be one of, if not the best quarterback in the league, which is exactly what experts from FanSided.com have agreed on going into the season, as Allen was ranked as the No. 1 QB in the "Truly Elite" tier along with Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow.

If anyone is suprised to see Allen leading the way for all QBs, you shouldn't be. Let's face it, he is dynamic through the air and he is not afraid to run to pick up the first down and a touchdown. From 2020-2024, Allen had 40+ total touchdowns in each season, which includes multiple games of 6+ total touchdowns.
For the past two seasons, Allen has been working his magic (that has led him to winning the MVP award in 2024) without a true No. 1 receiver ever since Stefon Diggs was traded away to the Houston Texans. Through the last two seasons, has thrown for atleast 3,600 yards and 25 touchdowns and also rushing for atleast 12 touchdowns in each season.
Again, that was all done without a true No. 1 receiver. Now, Allen has DJ Moore to throw to as well as a potential young playmaker in Skyler Bell.
Upgraded supporting cast only makes Josh Allen more dangerous
Even though the Bills' offense took on a ton of criticism the last two seasons, they still managed to be one of the best overall units because of Allen (and James Cook establishing himself as one of the best backs). Now with an upgrade on the offense, it has to make fans wonder just how great Allen can become even more than he already is.
Allen has had to deal with a lot of obstacles the last couple seasons. There were plenty of times where people thought that Allen couldn't bring the Bills across the finish line to win a game. Not only did he do it, he put the team on his back. That shouldn't always be the case in 2026 with an upgraded supporting cast, which makes Allen even more dangerous this coming season.
