The NFL offseason is a wild time. From crazy trade proposals to free-agent wish lists to redrafts, NFL fans experience it all when the season isn't in full swing. The latest shenanigans, however, will make Buffalo Bills fans smile.
Jay Busbee of Yahoo! Sports put together an NFL Redraft that isn't like the typical ones you see for particular draft classes. No, Busbee's redraft is a total wipeout of teams, meaning everyone is available. He used the 2025 NFL Draft as the draft order and the first pick was none other than Buffalo Bills quarterback and reigning 2024 MVP winner Josh Allen.
With the Titans holding the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, they get the right to take whoever they want in this redraft and that meant Allen was who they decided to add to their roster in this fictional scenario. Busbee said it was a no-brainer for the Titans.
"Not even the Titans could screw this one up. When the reigning MVP is available, you take the reigning MVP."
Josh Allen goes first overall to Titans in unique NFL Redraft
For those wondering how the rest of this redraft plays out, Lamar Jackson goes second to the Browns, Joe Burrow lands with the Giants at pick three, Patrick Mahomes is the fourth pick by the Patriots (nobody would want to see this happen), and rounding out the top five is Jayden Daniels getting nabbed by the Jaguars.
The first 17 players taken in this redraft are quarterbacks (and you'd think if this somehow really did happen, that'd be the position every team would look to address) and the Bills ended up going with Nick Bosa at pick 30.
Of course, this is only a silly scenario that would never play out but it's cool to see Josh Allen finally getting the respect he deserves. From winning MVP to now being the first overall pick in a totally out-there redraft, everything's coming up Josh Allen.
