After the Denver Broncos defeated the backups for the Chiefs last Sunday, the fans were chanting “We Want Buffalo!”. I bet they regret that after watching the Broncos give up 28 unanswered points as Buffalo absolutely demolished the Broncos, 31-7. The Bills are moving onto the divisional round where they will host Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 4 rematch.

Bo Nix and the Broncos gave the Bills a little bit of a scare in the beginning when Nix connected with Troy Franklin for an early 43-yard touchdown pass. After that, they never came close to winning this game. It helps that after Nix’s touchdown pass in the first quarter, Buffalo’s defense played lockdown all game long and made Nix look like a scared rookie.

In the first half, James Cook was having his way with the Denver defense, running all over them. He got the Bills on the board first and it helped jumpstart a Bills beatdown of the Broncos. Then Josh Allen showed why he is the true MVP of the league in the second half.

Josh Allen puts NFL on notice that he deserves MVP award

Let’s face it, everyone know that Allen is more valuable to the Bills than any other quarterback is to their respective team. Allen was running hard and throwing hard against a Denver defense that everyone was praising going into this game. He and his supporting cast was making them look silly from start to finish. The fact that they heavily damaged the Broncos' defense like this just shows how dominant Buffalo can be throughout the postseason.

Allen finished the game with 272 passing yards, going 20/26 and two touchdown passes. He also had a QB rating of 135.4. His first touchdown pass of the game to Ty Johnson in the third quarter put him in front of Jim Kelly for the most playoff touchdown passes in franchise history (22). However, Allen would follow up that pass with a 55-yard touchdown pass to Curtis Samuel to put the final nail on the coffin for the Broncos.

This was a fantastic start for the Bills against a team that should be good for the foreseeable future, but it wasn’t their time. The Bills will now get another chance at re-writing the narrative about what happens when they face the Ravens. It will be Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson, the two front runners for the MVP award. Bills Mafia, enjoy this win and let’s get ready for next week.
