It seems like every week we are witnessing history being made by some Bills player. Usually, it is Josh Allen (or should we say the real MVP of the league). Whether he’s throwing the ball, running it, or even catching it, Allen is always re-writing history.

In the first half against the Denver Broncos, it was the James Cook show on the ground. However, Allen managed to find some running lanes as well but he wasn’t the star of the show. Buffalo has taken control of the game up to this point and their 13-7 lead became bigger when Josh Allen launched a 24-yard touchdown pass to Ty Johnson on fourth down to help the Bills extend their lead.

All that the Bills needed was a year to keep the ball. Instead, Allen decided to take a risk and it paid off. Ty Johnson just caught the ball and had control of it to give the Bills a two-score lead. After the touchdown pass to Johnson, Allen connected with Keon Coleman on a two-point conversion to make it a 21-7 lead. On that throw, Allen made franchise playoff history.

Josh Allen picked the perfect moment to set Bills history

According to the Buffalo Bills PR X account, that touchdown pass to Ty Johnson gave Josh Allen the record for most passing touchdowns in franchise history (22). He pased Jim Kelly, who had 21 playoff passing touchdowns.

Allen has now taken that record as well as the most touchdowns in Bills history that was held by Kelly. He is on his way to being a better overall quarterback, but he still has to make an appearance in the Super Bowl. However, if Allen can become the first quarterback to deliver a Super Bowl to Buffalo, he will for sure pass Kelly as the best franchise quarterback the Bills have ever had.

The Bills will be looking to close out the Broncos and advance to the divisional round. They need to play smart football and hope that no big injuries happen. If that happens, the Bills will be on their way to being one step closer to a trip down to New Orleans.
