Josh Allen left off exclusive NFL list (and fans should be angry)

When you hear and talk about Josh Allen, typically you would have the Super Bowl as part of the conversation as the Buffalo Bills with Allen are Super Bowl contenders. Then again, it is hard to say that the Bills are true Super Bowl contenders considering that they have yet to reach a Super Bowl with Allen under center.

They have been to two AFC championship games but have lost both of them. One was by two scores, and the other was by just a field goal, both to the Kansas City Chiefs. Coming into this past postseason, the Bills didn’t have to worry about running into the Chiefs, Ravens, or Bengals. Yet, they still failed.

Now, the Bills are moving in a different direction with Joe Brady as the new head coach instead of Sean McDermott. Teams who tend to change head coaches may not always have immediate success. However, Brady knows Buffalo already as he has been the offensive coordinator since the middle of the 2023 season and has directly worked with Allen.

Even though the continuity is still there for the Bills with Allen and Brady, there are still doubters on the impact that the Bills and Allen could make in 2026.

Josh Allen being left off exclusive NFL list is laughable

Lou Scataglia from NFL Spin Zone put together a list of “QBs most likely to win Super Bowl 61” and Allen was left off this list. The quarterbacks included on this list were Trevor Lawrence, Sam Darnold, Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Matthew Stafford.

So, we are just going to leave Allen off this list, huh? Alright then…

I mean, this is just completely laughable considering the fact that Allen has almost never been the problem with the Bills not reaching the Super Bowl. Now, the loss against Denver? That was on Allen as he had 4 of Buffalo’s 5 turnovers. Outside of that, Allen is always the reason why the Bills are on the doorsteps of getting to the Super Bowl.

The Bills have to be motivated to make a splash this offseason to get them over the top. Allen is still well in his prime and if Brandon Beane can deliver a splash or two, the Bills have a serious shot at not just appearing in the Super Bowl, but also winning the whole thing.
