When the Buffalo Bills drafted their franchise quarterback Josh Allen back in 2018, there was hope that the Bills would be able to end their revolving door of quarterbacks that they had since Jim Kelly. As a three-time Pro Bowler and current MVP, Allen has succeeded expectations and has brought back joy to the city of Buffalo during football season.

He has helped lead the Bills to five consecutive AFC East championships and he was awarded a record-setting six-year, $330 million deal where he has the largest guarantee in history ($250 million). This past year was the season that proved that no matter who the Bills have on offense, as long as they have Allen, they are always going to be in the Super Bowl window. The problem is that he has yet to get to a Super Bowl, let alone win one.

Since 2020, Allen and the Bills have reached the AFC championship twice but have been knocked out by none other than Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bills have also made it to the divisional round three times, and have been eliminated by both the Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Allen has basically done almost everything he can for the Bills. He became the first player in NFL history with 40+ total touchdowns in five consecutive seasons. He has set numerous records in Bills history. Allen has brought a lot of memories to the Bills Mafia, but there is one more thing left for him to accomplish.

Josh Allen deserves to win a Super Bowl for himself and the city of Buffalo

Jeff Kerr from CBS Sports made a list of the five quarterbacks that are under the most pressure to win the Super Bowl and to no surprise, Josh Allen is ranked first on the list. Along with Allen, quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Joe Burrow, and Jared Goff also find themselves on this list.

"Allen is a great quarterback and has all the intangibles to win a Super Bowl. Since the Bills can't beat the Chiefs in the playoffs (where Allen is 0-4 against Mahomes), the pressure is constantly on Allen and Buffalo to win that elusive first Super Bowl title. "
Jeff Kerr, CBS Sports

Kerr is spot on with this analysis. Allen himself has never been the reason why the Bills can’t get past the Chiefs. He is building himself a case to be one of the best playoff quarterbacks of all-time. It’s just too bad that he finds himself in the Patrick Mahomes-era.
