Enough is enough.

We knew this day would come eventually, but the fact that it is here after the Buffalo Bills were eliminated once again by the Kansas City Chiefs is unbelievable. For the fourth time in five postseasons, the Chiefs are the ones to send the Bills back home and take away any shot at getting a Super Bowl to Orchard Park. After a hard fought back-and-forth game, the Chiefs made the better plays at the end to escape with a 32-29 victory.

Josh Allen is now 0-4 vs. Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs. However, it’s not his fault that the rest of the team continues to let him down. Allen is way too talented to not be in the Super Bowl, yet he continues to run into the same problem almost every postseason…his team does not support him.

Bills continue to let Josh Allen down in playoffs

It seems like everytime the Bills go up against the Chiefs in the postseason, the Bills end up having to play from behind and are forced to play Kansas City’s game of football. However, in the regular season, it’s a totally different story. In a meaningless regular season matchup, Buffalo has no issue taking care of business against the Chiefs. Those games no longer mean anything anymore. It’s all about what happens in the playoffs.

In previous matchups between these two teams, the Bills’ defense can’t seem to adjust well against Mahomes and the KC offense and it showed once again yesterday. They came out sloppy and gave up a 90-yard opening drive touchdown. In addition, their secondary had no answers for rookie Xavier Worthy who absolutely ran wild on them.

As far as the offense, the offensive line was horrendous against the Chiefs’ defensive line. They gave up numerous amounts of pressure where Allen has to go off-script throughout the game. Not to mention, they couldn’t pick up any sort of blitz at all.

To make things worse, the Chiefs’ secondary plays great man-to-man coverage and Allen had to make some tight window throws. This Bills team just continues to not make any improvements for Allen’s sake.

Without him on the team, this Bills wouldn’t go far at all. Buffalo continues to not find ways to beat the Chiefs in a game that truly matters. Josh Allen, who is in his prime, is too talented to not be in a Super Bowl. What will it take for the Bills to finally overcome this massive playoff hump? Do the Chiefs need to be eliminated early in the playoffs? Does Buffalo need to make some personnel changes?

Either way, opinions are going to start coming and they won’t stop for a long time. All that Bills fans can do now is just reflect on the season and see what this team needs to do differently.
