The Buffalo Bills are back in action tomorrow at 1PM where they will take on the Carolina Panthers in a must-win game after losing their last two games against the Patriots and Falcons. The Bills perform well after the bye, going undefeated the last ten games after their bye week. However, Carolina is not a push over.
While the Bills have lost consecutive games before early on in the season, there are more questions than answers in various areas. Their defense needs any sort of help with stopping the run, and the wide receivers aren’t a threat to any secondary. We saw it in Week 6 against the Falcons where no separation was created and Josh Allen wasn’t able to get in sync with his wideouts.
It also doesn’t help that the Bills have been dealing with injuries since the summer, and are starting to get somewhat healthy. They will also get Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobi in the lineup as they are coming from serving six-game suspensions.
The Bills have to bring their A-game against the Panthers. That means that certain players need to really step up and if they do, not only will the Bills be victorious, but various history will be made as well.
Josh Allen and multiple Bills set up to reach milestones in Week 8 vs. Panthers
According to the Buffalo Bills' PR X account, there are multiple milestones that can be reached from various players against the Panthers.
If the Bills can win on Sunday, Josh Allen will have the chance to pass both Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger for the fourth-most regular season wins by a QB in his first eight seasons. Manning and Roethlisberger both have 80 wins each and this would put Allen ahead of them both which is beyond impressive.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid can become the first tight end in franchise history with consecutive 100+ receiving yard games. Back in Week 5 against the Patriots (he missed Week 6 against the Falcons, Kincaid had 108 yards against New England where he was pretty much the only bright spot for the team in that game.
Edge rusher Joey Bosa has been impressive for the Bills and part of the reason why is him being healthy. He is currently tied for the most forced fumbles in the league (4) and if he can force another one against the Panthers, he will tie a franchise record of most forced fumbles in a season in just seven games.
Finally, Josh Allen could once again be climbing the history ladder with 2 rushing touchdowns. If he can get into the endzone twice on the ground, he will tie Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, including playoffs, in history.
The Bills are looking to bounce back against a Carolina team that has been sneaky good, but with Buffalo’s success after their bye week, Buffalo is set up to make their fans happy with a win.
