As the Buffalo Bills are going back into action this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, many fans are hoping that Brandon Beane pulls off a trade that will improve this roster. Despite being at 4-2, the Bills do not look like a confident football team. They are riding a two-game losing streak (both in primetime) and now they are going up against a surprising 4-3 Panthers team.
Buffalo is set up to go against Andy Dalton as Bryce Young is dealing with a high ankle sprain from Week 7. Dalton can still make plays and if the Bills play bad football again, it could be yet another long day for Buffalo, and fans don’t want to see that.
Many fans are hoping that Beane will pull off a trade at some point before the November 4th trade deadline. He has a history of making moves to improve the roster, including trading for wideout Amari Cooper last season. Will he make another move to keep Buffalo’s Super Bowl window open?
Proposed trade has Bills landing Raiders' star Maxx Crosby
Moe Moton from Bleacher Report put together a heavy trade package that has the Bills trading away DE A.J. Epenesa, WR Curtis Samuel, first-round picks in 2026 and 2027, and a 2026 5th-round pick in exchange for Crosby.
"Crosby rarely comes off the field, and he can strengthen the Bills' 31st-ranked run defense, which is giving up a league-high 5.8 yards per carry.Moe Moton, Bleacher Report
Buffalo would have to engage in cap-space gymnastics to absorb Crosby's contract, but it can be done by restructuring deals and trading veteran players.
The Raiders could acquire Epenesa, a 27-year-old defensive end, to help fill a void on the edge and Samuel, who would provide a veteran presence at wide receiver. Remember, wideout Jakobi Meyers wants a new deal. Las Vegas could trade him or allow his contract to expire next offseason."
Bills fans know that Beane isn’t the kind of GM to take massive swings all the time, but we have seen it before. He traded multiple draft picks to acquire Stefon Diggs back in 2020, and then signed Von Miller to a massive six-year deal (that only turned out to be for three years).
Crosby is a game-wrecker and no one can deny that. The four-time Pro Bowler has only four sacks this season so far, but the Bills need help stopping the run and having guys like Crosby and Joey Bosa coming off the edge would be a dream scenario. Bosa has been impressive for the Bills, but the defense overall in Buffalo is terrible.
The Bills are all about development which helps to a point, but they have to take a swing because if they waste another year of Josh Allen’s prime and don’t even reach the Suepr Bowl again, fans are going to be angry beyond belief.
