There have been times this season where the offense for the Buffalo Bills have frustrated fans. Then there have also been times where Buffalo’s offense has been unstoppable. They have been inconsistent this season, but have also shown that they can play great football in crucial moments.

Whether it’s in a comeback win or back-and-forth battle, the offense has done a solid job for the most part. However, we have also seen this unit struggle to get anything going either in the first-half or throughout the entire game.

This Sunday, the Bills will host a Philadelphia Eagles team that has some stars on the defense that can cause havoc against Buffalo. There are multiple Bills, including the reigning MVP, who must shine if the Bills want to send the Eagles back to Philly with a loss.

Bills offensive players who must shine in clash with Eagles

QB Josh Allen

Josh Allen hurt his foot last week against the Cleveland Browns, which may have impacted his overall performance in the win against the Browns. Allen is the engine of this offense, despite the greatness from James Cook. If Allen is off point, so is the rest of the offense.

There is a high chance that Allen may have to be Superman for the Bills, and fans should be okay with that. If that’s what it takes for the Bills to win, then so be it.

WR Josh Palmer

It has not been a great first season with the Bills for Palmer. Coming over from the Los Angeles Chargers, he was supposed to help create separation outside the numbers but he has only had a handful of solid plays this entire season. He only has 290 receiving yards with no touchdowns this season. It also doesn’t help that he’s only played in ten games.

This is a great game for him to make a statement to not just the Eagles, but also Bills fans that he can be a huge contributor for Buffalo. It won’t be easy whatsoever, so Palmer will have to bring his A-game.

OL O'Cyrus Torrence

You could make the argument that David Edwards and/or Connor McGovern could be on this list, but I’m going with O’Cyrus Torrence because there have been times this season where he has given up pressure that has collapsed the pocket. Philly’s defensive line that has players like Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter will be bringing pressure all day long. Torrence has to step up and not allow interior pressure to come up.

RB Ty Johnson

I firmly believe that James Cook will once again shine for the Bills, so I’m going with Ty Johnson who has been one of the most overlooked backups in the league. There are going to be times where Johnson is going to have to provide protection against the blitz or go out into the flat to convert on a crucial third-down situation.
