It feels like Buffalo Bills fans can always count on the New York Jets to provide entertainment in the best possible way. The Jets haven't been to the playoffs since the 2010 season and haven't won the AFC East since 2002. They've struggled to find a franchise quarterback and might end up trying to make a wild move in order to find one that can make them relevant again.
According to Dan Graziano of ESPN, the Jets have been a team in contact with the Tennessee Titans to trade up to the number one pick in April's draft. This would be a lot of fun for Bills fans because this year's quarterback draft class isn't great so leave it to the Jets to trade up to draft one of them.
Jets rumored to be inquiring about number one overall pick
If this ends up happening, it'd bring yet another young quarterback to the AFC East to try and dethrone the Bills. Last year, the Patriots spent the third overall pick on Drake Maye, and to their credit, that pick looks decent just one year in. The Jets drafted Sam Darnold in 2018 and Zach Wilson in 2021, striking out on both, and now, after the Aaron Rodgers experiment failed epically, could be looking to try their luck at a first-round signal caller once again.
What's even funnier here is that the quarterbacks in this year's draft class probably would be considered mid-to-late first-rounders in any other year and here the Jets are wanting to give up a king's ransom to move up and take one of them. It feels like Cam Ward will be the first quarterback off the board but he only played for one year at Miami so that's always such a crap shoot.
The Jets are always kind enough to provide Bills fans with laughs and hopefully, if they swing big and move up to the first overall pick, whoever they take ends up flaming out like all of their recent quarterbacks have.
