It took Amari Cooper one game to prove why the Bills traded for him

It would be a lie to say that the Tennessee Titans weren’t giving the Buffalo Bills a rough time throughout this game. The Titans have played better football all around, but somehow only managed to put up 10 points in the first half against the Bills.

Buffalo on the other hand has struggled offensively. There were no adjustments made in the first two quarters and Josh Allen had a rough stat line of only going 4/11 from the pocket. On the third play of the game, Allen even attempted to connect with new wide receiver Amari Cooper, but Cooper flat out dropped the ball which forced the Bills to punt on their first possession.

Going into halftime, the Bills were down 10-7, even though they should have been down by way more. However, great defensive football has kept the Bills in this game. In the middle of the third quarter, the Bills finally took the lead for the first time against the Titans when Josh Allen connected with Amari Cooper for their first touchdown together as one of the newest duos in the league.

The Bills added Cooper to bring a true wide receiver-one presence and it was demonstrated in the third quarter. Buffalo had struggled with their wide receiver production throughout the last couple of weeks, and adding a guy like Cooper was exactly what they needed. 

Buffalo leads 14-10 because of Cooper’s touchdown reception and they will need to keep their momentum going to avoid a heartbreaker loss against an opponent that they should beat with no problem. If the offense is looking to keep putting points on the board, Joe Brady will need to make sure that Cooper is on the field to do so.

His presence either makes defenders have to respect him and force coverage, or it allows other receivers to get open in the middle of the field to help out Allen.
