Josh Allen seems to add a new line to his MVP resume every week. He was at his best once again in the Buffalo Bills' high-scoring win over the Las Vegas Raiders, doing exactly what was needed to help his team pull away.

When Allen limits his mistakes like he did in this game, there isn't another quarterback in the NFL who can match his impact.

Even if it wasn't his best statistical output, Allen's Week 6 performance matches up with his best of the season.

Josh Allen was at his best in Bills' close win over Raiders

Allen didn't need to carry the offense on his own in this game. James Cook's efficiency and explosiveness on the ground helped keep the Bills on schedule, making Allen's job much easier.

Even in the passing game, he didn't have to put on his superhero cape as much as he has at times this season. The Raiders often played in drop coverage, daring Allen to take his checkdown time and time again. The Bills' quarterback obliged.

He posted his lowest average depth of target of the season at 6.5 yards despite still averaging three seconds before getting the ball out. It takes an experienced quarterback to consistently take what the defense gives him without getting antsy and forcing the ball into tight windows. That's exactly what Allen did in this game. His growth in this area since his early years has been tremendous.

When he was forced out of the pocket, Allen did an excellent job of keeping his eyes downfield. He found Josh Palmer for a huge gain in the first quarter after escaping the pocket to his right. And of course, his flipped pass to Keon Coleman for a third-quarter touchdown was ridiculous.

Allen even threw his receivers into defensive holding and defensive pass interference calls a few times. While those game-changing plays will likely be blamed on a lack of discipline from the Raiders, Allen highlighted the penalties by throwing the ball into the area. This was just another mark of experience for the 30-year-old.

The only clear mistake that Allen made came in the first quarter. He took a shot to Dalton Kincaid in the end zone that could have been picked off by Treydan Stukes but fell incomplete.

Josh Allen's Week 6 grade: A

In 36 dropbacks, I counted one mistake. Even that play didn't end in a negative for the Bills. Allen is playing with more control of the game than any quarterback in the NFL at the moment, and he still has the heroic plays that nobody else can make. The box score numbers from this win might not be jaw-dropping, but Allen was near-perfect.
