Josh Allen was spectacular again on Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins. He kept his Thursday Night Football winning streak alive, and sent Miami further down in the AFC East race. With a three game lead and wins over the Dolphins and Jets, it looks like Buffalo are well on their way to a division title.
Allen, after a statistical down week in Week 2, came to play in Week 3. He threw three touchdowns and completed 22 out of 28 passes for 213 yards. He added another 25 yards on the ground on four carries. Allen was brilliant.
Josh Allen had an A performance in Week 3 vs. Dolphins
Allen may not have had a game-winning drive, and he did not throw for 300 yards, but he did everything the team needed to win. Including a sick shuffle-pass touchdown to Jackson Hawes to put the Bills ahead in the second quarter.
Allen also found Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid for touchdowns. He's now thrown five touchdowns and has a passer rating of 108.8 on the season. If you're making an early-season MVP ballot, Allen would have to be on it. While winning two consecutive MVP's is not easy, it should be on the board for Allen, who has been elite for years now.
It's a long season, but Allen is doing exactly what he needs to do to set the Bills up for success, and he's setting himself up for more accolades in 2025.
While the game might not have been as close as the Bills opener against the Ravens, it was probably closer than the Bills would have liked. Miami was in the game late, and it was up to Allen to put enough points on the board to put away the Dolphins.
He did it, and the Bills walk away with a win. At 3-0, they are set up perfectly going into a game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 4.
