In a surprising, yet not so surprising move, the Tennessee Titans decided to release cornerback L’Jarius Sneed after just two seasons where Sneed was only on the field in 12 total games. Prior to going to the Titans, Sneed was a fantastic shutdown corner for the Kansas City Chiefs who gave the Buffalo Bills some trouble in their matchups.
When the Titans acquired Sneed via trade, they gave him a four-year deal worth $76 million to be their next shutdown corner. Based on the ultimate results now that Sneed is out of Tennessee, that was not the case at all. Sneed dealt with injuries the last two seasons and with the Titans going in a different direction with a newer regime, seeing him out shouldn’t surprise anyone.
With Sneed now able to sign wherever he wants, a lot of people believe that he could end up back in Kansas City where he grew early on as a player that helped him land a huge contract with the Titans. However, a former Bills wideout wants to see Buffalo bring him to Western New York.
After it was reported that the Titans were releasing Sneed, former Bills wideout Cole Beasley reposted the news and said “Bills. Sign him.”

Cole Beasley wants Bills to bring in L'Jarius Sneed (and it would help)
Sneed is still in his prime, but it’s getting close to the end. At 29 years old, if he can overcome the injuries that have held him back the last two seasons, he could be a valuable asset to any team. With the Bills specifically, they are revamping their secondary. Why not add another piece?
Buffalo has already brought in Dee Alford, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and Geno Stone to team up with Christian Benford and Maxwell Hairston. The Bills still need depth and maybe even someone to compete with Hairston for the CB2 spot.
Since Sneed has only played in 12 total games the last two seasons, the Bills may be able to get him on a cheap contract that one be a one-year prove-it deal. Buffalo is not afraid to bring in players coming off a down season and give them a chance to thrive while they get a bargain from the contractual side of things.
Again, it is very possible that Sneed ends back up in Kansas City where he already knows the defense and the culture. Then again, anything is possible and who knows, maybe Buffalo will come out of nowhere and make a move for Sneed.
