Here we are again, getting prepared to watch the Buffalo Bills take the field at Metlife Stadium against the New York Jets on primetime football. After a hot 3-0 start, the Bills have crashed a little bit the last two weeks. They were blown out in Week 4 and they made too many questionable calls and mistakes last week to overcome a 20-3 deficit.

Now they face all sorts of pressure heading into a divisional game against the Jets. While the Bills come into this game with more questions than answers, they atleast aren’t going through any coaching changes unlike New York.

In a surprise turn of events, Jets owner Woody Johnson shocked the NFL by firing Robert Saleh from his head coaching duties. New interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich takes control of the reins now on Monday night for the Jets. Coming in at 2-3, the Jets are looking to not only get to .500, but also take control of the AFC East from the Bills.

The Bills are in unfamiliar territory. Usually after they have one bad game, they rebound the next game in dominating fashion. That clearly wasn’t the result last week. Now they get to take on a division rival who knows them very well and has new coaching control on the sidelines.

New York vs. Buffalo is always a physical battle. There is never a dull moment and it will come down to who wants it more. Very rarely do we see these teams not compete hard until the end of the game. In order for the Bills to leave Week 6 with a win, it is going to come down to Josh Allen having the complete opposite performance he had last week (completing just 30% of his passes) and the Bills defense keep up the trend of making the Jets offense look foolish.

There is a lot more worry than excitement for the Bills heading into this game. They have no momentum and they are going up against a team that will be looking to make a switch for the better after making a big coaching decision. Under the lights, in primetime, the Bills will be looking to flip the script that happened last year when these teams met on primetime in Metlife.

In what should be a very physical game, it is hard to see the Bills offense overcoming this ferocious Jets defense. The fact that Allen and the offense struggled against the Texans last week, it is hard to imagine that the unit will somehow bounce back against the Jets.

Unless Buffalo’s offense comes out of nowhere and embarrasses the Jets’ defense, the Bills drop their third consecutive game and lose control of the AFC East.

Final score prediction: Jets defeat Bills, 24-20
