Ever since Josh Allen came into the NFL, one thing has become a constant and that was Buffalo beating the Miami Dolphins. Since 2018, the Bills have only lost to the Dolphins twice; once in 2018 (Josh Allen’s first game against Miami) and once in 2022 (where the Bills dealt with severe heat in Miami but only lost by two points).

Other than those two times, the Bills have always come out victorious against the Dolphins and most of the time, it’s by double digits. Long story short, the Dolphins have little to no answers on how to beat the Bills as long as Allen is under center. Thursday night's win just gave us another chapter in this lopsided "rivalry".

According to the Buffalo Bills' PR X account, The Bills have won 13 of their last 14 games against the Dolphins, including each of the last six meetings which is their “longest active win streak against any team”.

With Allen under center, the Bills have defeated the Dolphins 14 times (including once in the playoffs) and have scored 30+ points in 12 games. Allen performs at a high level against Miami. It’s the one team where you can expect him to be his best. What he has done to Miami since he entered the league has become something familiar to Bills fans with what they had to endure with Tom Brady for nearly two decades.

What Tom Brady was to Buffalo, is what Josh Allen has become to Miami

Not to bring up any painful memories, but whenever Tom Brady and the New England Patriots were coming to Buffalo or hosting the Bills, we all kind of knew what the end result was going to be. Brady finished his career against the Bills with a 33-3 record, including one win against them when he was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

No matter how much Bills fans wanted to believe that they could finally take down the Patriots with Brady under center, it was highly unlikely. Brady just knew the matchup against Buffalo, much like how Allen knows the matchup against Miami.

Now, Allen will still have many more years to play in order to keep piling on this dominance but with his greatness he has put on against them since 2018, he is well on his way to having the Tom Brady effect on the Dolphins that Brady had on the Bills.
