The biggest story of this upcoming offseason is what will happen with Cleveland Browns’ All-Pro edge rusher Myles Garrett, who requested a trade from the Browns last month. Since then, Garrett has made it clear that he does not want to play in Cleveland no matter what.
Then Tom Pelissero reported that Garrett had requested a meeting with Browns owner, Jimmy Haslem, but refused to talk with Garrett with the ongoing trade request in place. The Browns continue to show they are a dysfunctional organization with this news from Pelissero.
Garrett would be a fantastic fit on any team in the NFL. The Buffalo Bills have a huge need at edge rusher and adding Garrett might just be the final piece that finally puts them in the Super Bowl.
It’s already been reported that the Bills will be sending in a bid to Cleveland to try and bring Garrett to Buffalo, which was reported by Tony Pauline. No matter how much Cleveland says that they aren’t trading Garrett away, it’s only a matter of time at this point.
One Bills player that has been vocal about recruiting Garrett to Buffalo is left tackle Dion Dawkins. The fan-favorite Pro Bowler has expressed multiple times how much Garrett coming to Buffalo would mean for the team and how it can put them over the top.
Dion Dawkins doubles down on getting Myles Garrett to Bills
Dawkins went onto Good Morning Football and once again expressed how he wants Garrett on the Bills. He went into detail about how the team wants to win and that Garrett would be a fantastic addition to help Buffalo get over the playoff hump.

Dawkins did bring up a great point about the money aspect of getting Garrett to Buffalo. It won’t be easy at all, but Brandon Beane has worked his magic before when it comes to the salary cap and finding a way to bring in various pieces without having to be deeply affected by the cap.
Adding a player like Garrett, who is well in his prime and pairing him with a bunch of other star players in their prime (like Dawkins and Josh Allen), is the type of move that would put fear into the rest of the NFL. Garrett is a game wrecker who can change the outcome. It’s exactly what Buffalo has been missing, despite having Von Miller on the roster the last three seasons.
Who knows if this Garrett situation will go anywhere anytime soon. At the same time, don’t expect the constant chatter about Garrett potentially coming to Buffalo to stop until something is finalized, whether he comes to Buffalo or not.
