The Buffalo Bills limped out of their Week 4 meltdown against the Patriots with wounds galore. There's something to be said for licking them, but it hasn't helped. Their woes grow as they go on the road against the fearsome L.A. Rams team.

Last week's final injury report was a mess, and Week 5 offers nothing different. Per the Bills PR team, here it is.

Bills' Week 5 Saturday injury report vs. Rams

Game Status: QUESTIONABLE

The Bills could ill afford to lose another defensive starter, least of all in the secondary, but the fates deemed otherwise. Dee Alford has been perfectly fine this season, but the Bills are unequipped to replace him.

Though his injury is not considered a long-term problem, it will affect his play in the short term. Still, Alford ramped up to end the week and is questionable for Monday.

LB Joe Andreessen - Knee

Joe Andreessen is still dealing with a knee issue after three weeks, but it hasn't impacted his game. He remains practicing and playing fully as he recovers.

CB Christian Benford - Toe

Game Status: AVAILABLE

The Bills are desperate at cornerback, and Christian Benford is their undisputed best. His absence was felt in Week 4, as the Buffalo secondary failed to stop the Patriots at any point.

Despite his missed time, the Buffalo Bills are fortunate Christian Benford's injury isn't worse. Most non-contact injuries are far more severe. One missed game and Benford is back in action after a single-game absence.

He has no designation and will start this weekend.

LB Terrel Bernard - Knee/Vet Rest CHECK

Game Status: AVAILABLE

Terrel Bernard remains rehabbing his knee after his Week 1 injury, but is unrestrained in practice. His play has lacked some burst, but that could be as much an effort issue as an injury one. He had a vet rest day on Saturday and will be good to go.

OLB Bradley Chubb - Thumb

Bradley Chubb's thumb injury has plagued him since Week 1, but he has no restrictions.

WR Keon Coleman - Ankle

Quickly and quietly, Keon Coleman has become an effective possession receiver. His catch rate is off the charts and his snags have been highlight reel-worthy. Coleman's 116 yards and a touchdown going 6/7 against the Patriots was one of the only things keeping the Bills in it.

Add all that, on top of his ankle injury, and it sums up to a competitor. Coleman has earned his rep this season.

Keon's ankle injury has progressed well, and he's good to go for Monday Night Football.

RB Ray Davis - Hamstring

Game Status: AVAILABLE

After being questionable to play in Week 4 with his hamstring injury, Ray Davis suited up. A week's more recovery and he was fully participating in practice.

There's still cause to be cautious with Davis, but the Bills are no longer cruising and need all hands on deck against the L.A. Rams this week. Rest weeks are out of the question until further notice.

S Damar Hamlin - Ribs

Game Status: QUESTIONABLE

Landon Jackson has quietly impressed much of the NFL community after his position switch, and would have been a notable loss against the L.A. Rams. Instead, he has recovered well and ramped up in practice throughout the week.

Jackson should be good to go for Monday, but remains questionable until further notice.

WR D.J. Moore - Shoulder

Game Status: QUESTIONABLE

D.J. Moore is important to this Bills' offense, but hasn't got to truly make his mark due to his shoulder issue. This week will be no different, if he took the field or not.

For other players, a week off at this point would be unheard of, but D.J. Moore is a needed man. His impact now pales in comparison to the importance of his play in January. After playing through it has failed, seeing Moore inactive shouldn't be a surprise.

Still, the NFL is a competetive game for competetive players. Moore is officially questionable to play.

DL Ed Oliver - Knee

When Ed Oliver is healthy, he can be remarkably disruptive. Oliver has not stayed healthy for the last two seasons.

His latest knee injury is an example of that misfortune, as he took a hit to the leg in the 3rd quarter against the Patriots. He didn't practice to start the week and remains out until further notice.

Dorian Williams has been a solid contributor this season, and played through injury well. Now, he's a full participant and ready for gameday.

Bills Injury Report Summary

With 5 players entering the weekend with gameday designations, the Bills had some decisions to make. Firstly, with WR Joshua Palmer's knee injury sidelining hime, and the uncertainty of D.J. Moore's health, rookie wideout Skyler Bell will make his NFL debut.

DL Ed Oliver is the next issue on the table, but the return of T.J. Sanders may make the point moot. Sanders offers plenty in the middle of the defensive line as Ed Oliver sits; Buffalo should manage.

The Bills will likely call up a defensive back, with the questionable status of CB Dee Alford. DL Landon Jackson's own questionable status does make for trouble, but the Bills have a capable practice squad replacement in recently-cut DL Phidarian Mathis, amongst others.
