We are just two days away from Monday Night Football between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams. It’s a battle of two powerhouse teams that can easily light up the scoreboard at any time.
Buffalo is looking to get back into the win column while the Rams are looking to stay there. Each team has their own strengths, but they also have weaknesses. The last time these two teams met, there were 86 total points scored with the Rams winning 44-42.
The Rams have 2 former Bills in DT Poona Ford and OL David Quessenberry, both who had brief stints with the Bills. As for Buffalo, there are 4 players on their roster that used to play for the Rams at some point in their careers, and now they will be facing them in primetime.
4 Bills players that used to play for Rams
OL Austin Corbett
The Bills brought in Austin Corbett this past offseason to provide competition at left guard. Even though Alec Anderson won the job, they kept Corbett because he can play guard and center. Prior to coming to Buffalo, Corbett spent three seasons with the Rams from 2019-2021. However, he started his career with the Cleveland Browns.
Unless an injury pops up for the Bills in the interior of the offensive line, it's highly unlikely that Corbett will be on the field against the Rams.
OLB Michael Hoecht
Michael Hoecht started out his career as a member of the LA Rams. Playing from 2021-2024, Hoecht racked up 180 total tackles, 13.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. He signed with Buffalo in the 2025 offseason, missed the first six games due to a suspension, and then only played in two games before tearing his Achilles.
Heading into Monday, Hoecht has 12 total tackles and 0.5 sacks. He will need to play a crucial role to help the defense bring a pass rush and make life miserable for Matthew Stafford.
DL Greg Gaines
Just like Hoecht, Greg Gaines started his NFL career with the Rams after he was drafted in the 4th round back in 2019. Gaines recorded 122 total tackles and 10.5 sacks in 4 seasons with the Rams. He then joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2023-2025 before joining the Bills this past summer.
WR Greg Dortch (practice squad only)
While Greg Dortch was a member of the Rams, he only made it as far as the practice squad back in 2019. The only time that Dortch had seen the field in his career was when he was with the Arizona Cardinals, and now as a member of the Bills.
