|---|---|---|
DNP | DNP | DNP |
Game Status: QUESTIONABLE
One of the most notable players on the Bills' roster, Christian Benford would be an enormous loss if forced to miss Sunday. His toe injury was a non-contact one, forcing fans to fear the worst when he went down in Week 3, but good news is a-foot.
Benford avoided the feared ACL/hamstring injuries, and dodged a high ankle sprain. His injury isn't major, but a week's rest may be the best course of action regardless. He did not practice in any capacity this week.
If time is missed, Benford's loss would even out. New England Patriots top CB Christian Gonzalez suffered his own injury, and is OUT for Sunday.
LB Terrel Bernard - Knee/Vet Rest
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
Full | Full | DNP |
Game Status: AVAILABLE
After suffering a calf injury in Week 1, Terrel Bernard has been recovering well and missed no in-game action. This week, the focus has moved from his calf to his knee, and the Bills' MLB has practiced fully. There are no worries for Sunday.
OLB Bradley Chubb - Thumb

WR Keon Coleman - Ankle
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
DNP | Limited | Limited |
Game Status: AVAILABLE
Keon Coleman was feared to miss Week 3 against the Chargers, but came through and caught 1 of 2 targets for 37 yards. It may not sound like much, but it was a crucial catch that led to a desperately-needed touchdown.
This week, he slowly ramped up at practice. Head coach Joe Brady told the media that Coleman "should be good to go" per Joe Buscaglia.
DB Jordan Hancock - Hamstring
Game Status: IR
The Buffalo Bills chose to give Jordan Hancock the time to recover on injured reserve. Ahead of Week 3, Hancock was moved, and the team signed WR Greg Dortch to the roster.
RB Ray Davis - Hamstring
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
N/A | Full | Limited |
Game Status: QUESTIONABLE
As RB Ty Johnson returns from his hamstring injury, he trades places and injuries with Ray Davis. It cropped up late in practice on Thursday, and would likely impact his agility as a kick/punt returner.
The injury isn't bad. It does, however, affect his availability for Sunday.
DB Sam Franklin - Personal
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
N/A | DNP | N/A |
Game Status: AVAILABLE
Sam Franklin is uninjured, but missed Thursday's practice due to personal reasons. He's fine for the weekend.
S Damar Hamlin - Ribs
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |

WR D.J. Moore - Shoulder
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
Limited | Limited | Limited |
Game Status: AVAILABLE
After a week of concern for D.J. Moore, following his shoulder injury against the Lions in Week 2, he took the field against the Chargers. His play was critical to the win, and Buffalo were lucky to get him back so soon.
This week, he took it easy for a smooth recovery, and has no status for gameday. Moore still has to be careful, but he will be active.
G Ar'Maj Reed-Adams - Elbow
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|

Game Status: AVAILABLE
Ar'Maj Reed-Adams has yet to take the field this season, but returns to available status after his elbow injury ahead of Week 3.
DL T.J. Sanders - Injury
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
Full | Limited | Limited |
Game Status: DOUBTFUL
T.J. Sanders has also failed to get onto the field this season, but entirely due to health reasons. As he recovers form his first injury well, he now fights recovery from his appendix removal surgery.
Appendectomy recovery is common and well-documented, but usually takes a few weeks to return to full power. For that reason, Sanders is doubtful for Sunday.
DL Deone Walker - Quad
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
Limited | Full | Full |
Game Status: AVAILABLE
Deone Walker's remarkable sophomore season is set to continue. The dominant interior defensive lineman has been a force to be reckoned with this year, and his quad injury hasn't hampered him in any way that matters.
Expect fireworks against a weakened New England Patriots offense.
LB Dorian Williams - Hip
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
Full | Full | Full |
Game Status: AVAILABLE
Dorian Williams has offered much this season, and continuity is amongst his offerings. He's excelled off-ball and has a nose for breaking up plays before they get to the secondary.
His hip injury is both new and minor- A ding suffered against the Chargers. It did not impede him this week, and it won't on Sunday against the Patriots.
Bills Injury Report Summary
In totality, the 13 names on this injury report are whittled to only 3. CB Christian Benford and RB Ray Davis are both questionable. DL T.J. Sanders in doubtful to play.
If Benford cannot go, expect the Bills to rely heavily on both Maxwell Hairston and rookie CB Davison Igbinosun. Dee Alford may also see snaps on the boundary instead of his usual slot defender role.
With the rest of the defensive line recovered, there's no expectation the Bills make a move to cover for T.J. Sanders.
