Against Baltimore, a battered Buffalo Bills team made do without Tre'Davious White and other major contributors, following a rough Friday injury report. A week later, the 1-0 Bills are taking on the New York Jets, and the injury report hasn't gotten shorter.

Bills injury report ahead of Week 2 vs. Jets per the Bills PR X account

K Tyler Bass - Groin

Tyler Bass is on the injured reserve with a groin injury that he suffered in camp, and dealt with throughout the preseason. He will miss the first four games of the season, at minimum, as 19-year veteran Matt Prater is signed to take his place.

CB Christian Benford - Groin

Bills CB1 Christian Benford was dealing with a minor groin injury heading into Week 1, which limited him. Now, he's a full participant all week and will play on Sunday against the Jets.

CB Brandon Codrington - Knee

An injury cropped up for Codrington on Sunday, with his knee taking a thumping on a kick return. Though he was limited on Wednesday, he fully participated in Thursday's walkthrough and Friday's practice, and will play in Week 2.

DT DeWayne Carter - Achilles

DeWayne Carter's achilles injury prior to Week 1 has rendered him out for the season. He is now on season-ending injured reserve.

WR Keon Coleman - Groin

Last week's concerns about Keon Coleman's groin injury are a thing of the past. The wideout had 8 catches for 112 yards and one of the most impressive touchdowns of his young career against the Baltimore Ravens. For Week 2, he's on the report but fully participating. There are no doubts about Coleman heading into Sunday against the New York Jets.

RB James Cook - Hamstring

A surprise entry, James Cook came up lame on Wednesday with some sort of hamstring injury. It's expected to just be tightness, as he was projected as a full participant for Thursday's walkthrough practice. He practiced on Friday too, and has no game designation.

DB Jordan Hancock - Shoulder

A late addition to the injury report, the rookie defensive back was limited with a shoulder injury on Thursday. As of Friday's report, he was limited, and has been listed as questionable for Sunday.

CB Taron Johnson - Quad

It's no surprise to see Taron Johnson grace the report, as one of Buffalo's most-injured players, season after season. Though he only played 2/3 of the snaps against Baltimore, he didn't seem injured. Their decision to keep Taron off the field at times was not medical, but strategic.

Now, he's a limited participant Thursday and Friday after missing Wednesday entirely. Officially, Taron Johnson is questionable with his quad injury.

TE Dawson Knox - Hip

Knox was limited on Wednesday and Thursday with a hip injury, but ultimately became a full participant by Friday's practice. He has no designation and will play vs.the New York Jets.

DT Ed Oliver - Ankle

Aside from Josh Allen, Ed Oliver was arguably the most impactful player on the field against Baltimore. His game-shifting punch-out on Derrick Henry gave Buffalo the extra possession that they needed, and his work on every play kept them competing.

Now, unfortunately, Oliver crops up on the injury report. After not being listed on the injury report at all post-game, or during Wednesday's practice, Oliver was called a non-participant on Thursday. Though the nature of the injury isn't clear, the cause is.

According to Ian Rapoport, per Sean McDermott, he 'got stepped on' in practice. Khalil Shakir took the same post-injury precautions following his high-ankle sprain a month ago. Though Shakir was week-to-week, with a month's recovery window, there is no set timetable for Ed Oliver.

He has already been ruled out for Sunday, and may struggle to take the field by Thursday night's matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Buffalo will need him back soon.

DE Greg Rousseau - Knee

Though he wasn't looked at during the game, Greg Rousseau suffered a minor knee injury against Baltimore. He's been limited all week but expects to play on Sunday against the Jets. He practiced on Friday and has no game designation.

LB Shaq Thompson - Hamstring/Hand

Shaq Thompson came up with a hand and hamstring injury following the action on Sunday, where he played 15 special teams snaps. He was projected as limited on Thursday, then limited on Friday, and is now questionable for gameday.

CB Tre'Davious White - Groin

There was dramatic concern about White leaving practice on a cart shortly before the final roster was set, but he appears to have avoided anything major. Though he did not dress on Sunday against the Ravens, Tre'Davious White was doubtful headed into the week. He was fortunate to be, having lost much of his prime to debilitating injuries.

Tre White was able to practice all week, though in a limited fashion, and has been upgraded to questionable this weekend.

Injury Summary

As White ramps up and avoids spending any time on the injured reserve, sixth-round rookie cornerback Dorian Strong performs admirably. If he needs to miss any more time, Buffalo has established their expected incumbent; Atleast until first-round rookie Maxwell Hairston makes his debut.

With Matt Prater officially signed, the Bass injury is at rest, temporarily. The same can be said for the DeWayne Carter injury, more permanently.

Losing Ed Oliver for any length of time is a significant issue. The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins may not be top-level opposition, but they will revel in the opportunity to play Buffalo without their most penetrating defensive tackle. In his absence, expect a practice squad callup for Zion Logue, per Matt Parino. Rookies TJ Sanders and Deone Walker should expect more opportunities as well.

With Jordan Hancock and Taron Johnson both questionable, a practice squad callup for a veteran safety like Jordan Poyer wouldn't be unseemly.
