The NFL trade deadline has approached and as of 4PM EST today, no teams will be able to make anymore trades. Once the clock strikes 4PM, all 32 NFL teams will head into the second half of the season with who they have on the current roster. Buffalo Bills fans know that general manager Brandon Beane is always looking to improve the roster.

With the Bills sitting at 7-2 and on top of the AFC East, it would not be a surprise to see Beane make one last move to keep improving the team. He already made a trade with the Cleveland Browns to acquire wide receiver Amari Cooper, who had an impressive debut with the Bills in Week 7.

Beane made a fantastic trade right at the deadline last season, acquiring cornerback Rasul Douglas from the Green Bay Packers. Since joining the Bills, Douglas has been nothing but solid for the Buffalo secondary. He essentially took over as the number one corner for Tre’Davious White.

As the deadline vastly approaches today, fans can expect more moves to be made across the league. The Bills could join in on the party to strengthen their already solid roster. The Bleacher Report NFL Scouting Department, specifically Alex Ballentine, came up with a list of trade targets for each team ahead of the trade deadline and the Bills are urged to get some defensive help.

Buffalo Bills suggested to trade for DT Sebastian Joseph-Day from Tennessee Titans

According to this article, the Bills are giving up just under 5 yards per carry on the ground so trading for defensive line help would make the most sense.

"Sebastian Joseph-Day could help bolster the run defense and bring that number down. The struggling TItans have already traded DeAndre Hopkins and Ernest Jones IV. Dealing a veteran interior defender wouldn't be a stretch for them as they need draft picks to continue rebuilding their struggling roster."
Alex Ballentine, B/R Scouting Department

One of the Bills’ weaknesses they have is stopping the run. In five of their nine games, the Bills defense has given up 120+ rushing yards which includes 271 yards against the Baltimore Ravens alone. The Bills have defensive linemen who can rush the passer, but they need serious help in containing the run.

Joseph-Day would be a solid addition to a defensive line that has already lost DeWayne Carter to IR and recently lost Duwuane Smoot as well on IR, per Thad Brown.
