With one more game approaching in the 2025 NFL regular season, it still doesn't mean that Philadelphia Eagles' defensive tackle Jalen Carter's bully tactics aren't over. While the Buffalo Bills are a wild card team and the Philadelphia Eagles won the NFC East, both teams will need to focus on the task at hand and finish the season strong in their respective divisions.
While Carter has been a disruption on a couple of occasions in his football career, with the playoffs just around the corner, now isn't the time the Eagles need him to act up.
Jalen Carter's immature actions
From the minute this season started, the defensive tackle from Georgia was a big headache that kept recurring like a bad nightmare. On the Thursday night season opener on national TV, the 24-year-old gave Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott a face full of spit that led to a 15-yard penalty and an immediate ejection from the game, before the first snap of the ball.
One would think he would have shown remorse for that just uncalled-for kind of behavior, but unfortunately, lightning struck the youngster twice in a futile way. This past week, the former Bulldog grabbed Bills offensive tackle Spencer Brown around the throat, and later, Brown accused Carter of throwing a right-hand hook to Brown's face, which caught him in the eye.
"Took a strong right hook to the eye ball."

Was it accidental?

There wasn't a penalty called for illegal use of hands, but Carter could expect to see a fine later in the week. Brown later stated that he could barely see out of his eye, but that his vision was only blurred.
Still, that doesn't make it right for Carter, as he'd already been thrown out for the incident on Prescott, and he's lucky this one may only lead to a fine.
Aftergame highlights
And just when you thought things were all figured out, as the teams were headed back to the locker room, both teams walked the same tunnel, as there is only one in the stadium. Many players looked as if they were shouting things at each other, but it remained under control.
Thad Brown from @News8WROC captured material as the teams neared their individual locker rooms, but it seemed to be a composed environment.

Cooler heads kept control.
Spencer said he took right hook to eye.
He didn't think it was accident. That's what boiled over.

What is Carter's problem?
Yes, you can say, well, he's only 24 years old and is still learning to mature as a pro football player, but he's an adult and old enough to know right from wrong. If that were just a regular person swinging at another regular person, then that person would go to jail without question.
Also, where is head coach Nick Sirianni on this? The guy just won a Super Bowl last year, and he deserves the glory for that, but he also deserves some of the blame for not getting this young man under control.
Spencer Brown's next actions
Even though the Bills lost 13-12, at least they're in the playoffs and can start resting players like Brown and other starters.
For now, Brown should focus on resting his eye as the 3-12 New York Jets come into town this week to take on the 11-5 Bills. The team will showcase their classic red helmets with their royal blue jerseys, a look they haven't worn since 2001.
