Bills' Pro Bowler gives massive praise to underrated coach heading into playoffs

He isn't wrong!

It’s very hard to get recognition in the NFL, but a lot of players and coaches deserve it. Sometimes we overlook players and coaches just because of how bad a team is doing. For example, defensive end Brian Burns was a fantastic player for the Carolina Panthers but he was never talked about enough.

The same thing can be said about some Buffalo Bills players and coaches. Outside of Josh Allen and a little bit of James Cook, no one else really gets enough credit even though they should. The fact that the Bills are 13-4, the No. 2 seed in the AFC and only have two voted Pro Bowlers is down right disrespectful.

However, one of those Pro Bowlers is Josh Allen’s blindside protector, Dion Dawkins. Buffalo’s franchise left tackle has been excellent for the Bills since his arrival and he has developed into one of the best left tackles in the game. It also helps that he is a great locker room guy.

Even though Dawkins is one of the best in the game, he gave a lot of credit to his offensive line coach, Aaron Kromer as Buffalo prepares to go into the playoffs. Dawkins talked about how he doesn’t want to disappoint Kromer and even went as far as saying how he “doesn’t want a different O-line coach” per Sal Capaccio.

Aaron Kromer deserves the credit for success with Bills' offensive line

For the past two seasons, the Bills’ offensive line has been the best when it comes to protecting Josh Allen. He has been sacked 14 times this year, and 24 times last year which led the league in both seasons.

Part of the reason why Allen is an MVP candidate this season is because the line in front of him is giving him a lot of time to make a play. Not to mention, they have also helped out James Cook reach back-to-back 1,000+ rushing yard seasons.

With Dawkins praising Kromer like this, it easily shows the leadership that Buffalo has in the building and how much respect the players have for the coaches. We don’t usually talk about position coaches a whole lot until they reach a coordinator level. However, Kromer deserves his credit and he will be looking to keep this offensive line as the best going into this Sunday’s game against the Broncos.
