When the NFL trade deadline passed, the Buffalo Bills had officially not made any moves to improve their roster. While there were reports that the Bills had tried to trade for Dolphins’ wideout Jaylen Waddle, Buffalo and Miami couldn’t work out a deal and Buffalo was left with nothing.

After the deadline passed and the Bills were heavily beaten down by the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo made a bit of a desperate signing with wide receiver Mecole Hardman after he was released by the Green Bay Packers earlier in the season.

After just appearing in two games for the Bills, Hardman has been officially released by the Bills per the Bills’ PR team. The team has also signed tight end Keleki Latu from the practice squad.

Bills release Mecole Hardman (and it was the right move)

I understand why the Bills had signed Hardman at the time, but it wasn’t what the Bills needed. They did put him on special teams in Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he had a fumble that allowed the Bucs to stay in the game early on.

He later got injured and was placed on IR. After being activated from IR, Hardman took the field for the Bills against the Browns last week, but now he is no longer on the team.

Hardman wasn’t going to make an impact for the Bills and with the team signing Brandin Cooks and utilizing Tyrell Shavers in the mixture at wide receiver, there was no room for Hardman anymore on the roster.

With the singing of Latu at tight end, it makes you wonder whether Knox or Kincaid will miss tomorrow’s game against the Eagles. Whenever Latu is elevated, someone is going to be out so it will be important for fans to watch to see who is active and who is inactive.
