When NFL fans think about the offense for the Buffalo Bills, the most common thought is Josh Allen and how he carries the team, which is very true. However, they have established their rushing attack that is led by James Cook, who led the league in rushing touchdowns in 2024 (16) and then led the league in rushing in 2025 (1,621 yards).

When it comes to the wide receiver room, that has received a ton of criticism over the past two seasons. With the acquisition of DJ Moore, drafting of Skyler Bell, and a hopeful step forward performance from Keon Coleman, the Bills are looking to change that narrative.

One room that hasn’t been an issue, more of a strength for the Bills has been their tight ends room with Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid, and Jackson Hawes. NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks gave this group high praise going into the 2026 season, ranking them as the No. 2 overall tight end room in the league only behind the Los Angeles Rams.

Buffalo's best offensive group for 2026 is exactly who fans thought it would be

"Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid combined for 75 catches, 988 yards and nine touchdowns last season, despite Kincaid missing five games due to multiple injuries, including a nagging knee issue. When healthy, the duo is a unique mix of big-bodied pass-catchers with receiver-like skills who can operate interchangeably on the perimeter. Moreover, they can take turns playing the No. 1 role as Allen's favorite target between the numbers and down in the red zone." said Brooks.

"And don't discount Jackson Hawes; yes, he does the dirty work in the running game as a traditional Y, but the big-bodied bully tallied three touchdowns as an underrated red-zone threat in 2025." Brooks added.

Even though the Bills’ wide receiver room looks a lot better at this point than it did last offseason, their tight end group has been one of the unsung heroes. The combo of Knox and Kincaid have stepped up in crucial moments to move the chains and keep the offense on the field. The hope is that Kincaid can have a big breakout season in hopes that he can be a long-term player for the franchise.

Knox and the Bills agreed to a new deal per Jeremy Fowler this offseason, keeping him in Buffalo beyond the 2026 season. Then you have Hawes who was arguably the best draft pick by the Bills in 2025. He is a dominant run-blocker and he can catch passes when needed as well.

With Joe Brady running the show as the head coach, and still calling the plays on offense, this unit is set up to keep growing and help elevate the offense overall. By the time the 2026 season is over, we may be looking at the overall best tight end group in the entire NFL.
