This past Wednesday night at 8PM EST, the 2025 NFL schedule was officially released and we are a step closer to kickoff which will kickoff on Thursday, September 7th in Philadelphia. The Eagles will be hosting the Dallas Cowboys for an NFC East showdown to open up the season. Then on Sunday Night Football, the NFL travels to Orchard Park where the Buffalo Bills will host the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bills open up their season at home, finish the regular season at home against the Jets, don’t play on any holidays, and they have five primetime games with three of them being at home. This is one of the more favorable schedules that the NFL has gifted the Bills in a long time. They also don’t have any major brutal back-to-back games.

Now, even though the schedule looks easier than others, the games still have to be played and any of these opponents could easily pull an upset against the Bills, whether it’s in Orchard Park or not. Either way, the Bills have to show up prepared and play their game to control the tempo.

Bills listed as major winners from 2025 schedule release

At the same time, the national media is also taking notice of the Bills’ schedule and how it is a great setup for them. Gary Davenport from Bleacher Report listed the biggest winners and losers from the scheduling release and the first winner listed was the Bills.

"Among last year’s playoff teams, none had an easier combined opponents' winning percentage than their .467. The Bills also have the second-fewest travel miles in the NFL and cross just two time zones all year.
They open with a tough one against the Baltimore Ravens. But if the Bills can prevail at home in that game, there's a real chance they could hit their bye week undefeated."
Gary Davenport, Bleacher Report

There is no doubt that the Bills will have their hands full with the Ravens in Week 1, but the Bills have the home-field advantage and quite frankly, if Buffalo's defense can contain Derrick Henry then the Ravens become very limited. As Davenport stated, if Buffalo can win in Week 1, they may go into their Week 7 bye week undefeated.

Now we just have to get through a long summer before Week 1 kicks off for the Bills. However, September 7th is going to approach quicker than you think. Then the next thing you know, the farewell season for the Bills’ current stadium will be underway.
