There is no better team in the NFL than the Buffalo Bills. Maybe you can make an argument for teams like the Philadelphia Eagles or Detroit Lions, but the Bills have been rolling for many weeks now and are continuously dominating their opponents. Coming off a bye week, the Bills took advantage of the week off and they followed up with a beatdown performance of the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday night.

With their 35-10 win, the Bills moved up to 10-2 and clinched the AFC East for the fifth straight season. They earned the division in unique fashion, being the first team ever in history to win their division before playing of their own division rivals for the first time.

Josh Allen is playing like he is the true MVP of the league and the team overall is feeling great about themselves. Going into the rest of December and now January, the Bills have one of the best and biggest advantages out of every team, playoff clinched or not.

Buffalo Bills can just focus on going for the No. 1 seed in AFC

Up to this point, only the Bills and Chiefs are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. There will be plenty more coming in the next month. However, the Bills can’t be caught in the AFC East but the Chiefs could still potentially drop the AFC West. The Chargers and Broncos aren’t far behind them, but they will need some good luck to head their way in order to catch Kansas City.

The Chiefs are currently at the top of the AFC but with them losing to the Bills in Week 11, they have to have a better record than Buffalo to keep that spot. If both teams have the same record by Week 18, the Bills will take the top seed away from them and get the first-round bye.

Most teams in playoff contention are fighting just to keep either make a wild card spot or go for the division title. With the Bills taking the AFC East away for the fifth consecutive time, they can now just focus on playing Bills football and hoping that they can get a little help from the opponents that are playing the Chiefs over the next five weeks.
