Teams in the NFL officially have their final 53-man rosters all set for the regular season. After months of building up their roster in free agency, trades, and the NFL Draft, each team needed to get their roster down to their best 53 players.
The Buffalo Bills have made their decisions, and will now set their attention towards the Houston Texans for Week 1. With a new-look coming together, the Bills made some decisions that may have surprised fans, and then there were moves that plenty of people expected.
With that, we have the final 53-man roster for the Bills heading into the 2026 season, per the Bills' X account.

*WR Tyrell Shavers was placed on the PUP list*
*DT Zane Durant was placed on the IR*
*DT Phidarian Mathis was placed on reserve/suspension list*

QB: Josh Allen, Kyle Allen
This was very well expected as the Bills will run it back with the two Allens. The Bills had both of these quarterbacks in 2023, and now they are teammates three years later. Kyle Allen has been part of the revolving door of backup quarterbacks behind Josh Allen. Shane Buechele was waived by the Bills, but should hopefully land back on the practice squad.
RB: James Cook, Ray Davis, Ty Johnson
The Bills have one of the deeper running back rooms in the league that is led by last year's leading rusher in James Cook. Ray Davis and Ty Johnson split time as the RB2, but they each have their own skillset that help out the offense and special teams.
WR: DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Keon Coleman, Skyler Bell
The Bills opted to go with five wide receivers, and it was a little surprising to see Trent Sherfield Jr. not make the final 53. Skyler Bell impressed in Buffalo's final preseason game against the Pittsbrugh Steelers, making him the 5th receiver on the roster.
TE: Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, Jackson Hawes, Keleki Latu
This is one of the few units on the Bills that had no questions. Kincaid, Knox, and Hawes are the three best options and they are going into their second year playing next to each other. The addition of Latu is a bit of a surprise, but since the Bills didn't bring on FB Ben VanSumeren, it appears that the roster spot went to Latu.
OL: Dion Dawkins, Alec Anderson, Connor McGovern, O'Cyrus Torrence, Spencer Brown, Jude Bowry, Austin Corbett, Lloyd Cushenberry III, Tylan Grable, Ar'Maj Reed-Adams
The Bills traded center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger to the Indianapolis early on Sunday, which paved the way for Lloyd Cushenberry III to lock up the backup center position behind Connor McGovern. Alec Anderson won the starting left guard position but Austin Corbett still won a roster spot. Bowry and Grable give the Bills tackle depth, and 7th-round draft pick Ar'Maj Reed-Adams got himself a roster spot as well.
DL: Deone Walker, Ed Oliver, DeWayne Carter, T.J. Sanders, Landon Jackson, Greg Gaines
With Zane Durant and Phidarian Mathis set to miss the opening of the season, that allowed for Greg Gaines and DeWayne Carter to make the initial 53. Now, once they come back and are ready to go, it will be interesting to see how the Bills handle that setup. Carter was projected to be a trade candidate, but he will be on the Bills final roster to start.
OLB: Bradley Chubb, Greg Rousseau, Mike Danna, Michael Hoecht, T.J. Parker, Javon Solomon
There should be no one surprised to see being the OLB room for the Bills. Mike Danna was considered to be on the roster bubble, but he makes it in the end. This unit will look to thrive under Jim Leonhard.
ILB: Terrel Bernard, Dorian Williams, Kaleb Elarms-Orr, Joe Andreessen
This position has been the biggest one that fans have been concerned about the most. Not to mention, there could be an ongoing competition between Williams and Elarms-Orr during the season, but that could also be a positive thing.
CB: Christian Benford, Maxwell Hairston, Davison Igbinosun, Dee Alford, Jordan Hancock
Going with five corners is extremely risky, which makes you wonder if the Bills are looking to add a free agent to help out with depth. One of the biggest surprises was seeing UDFA Kani Walker not make the final roster which was a bit of a shock.
S: Cole Bishop, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Damar Hamlin, Jalon Kilgore, Sam Franklin
Geno Stone ends up being the one that is out of the safety room as he was outplayed by Damar Hamlin in the preseason. Seeing the first four on this list isn't surprising. Even though the Bills gave Franklin a three-year deal this offseason, it was tough to picture where he would fit on the roster. While he is a great special teams player, that's all that fans may see him as.
ST: Tyler Bass, Tommy Doman Jr., Reid Ferguson
No surprises here at all. Tommy Doman Jr. won the starting punter job from Mitch Wishnowsky and Bass didn't have any true competition this entire summer.
