Bills fans won't be crazy about what Josh Allen said to Patrick Mahomes

Why, Josh, why?

Buffalo Bills fans are still mourning the trip to Super Bowl LIX that never was. It truly felt like this was Josh Allen's year to finally get the Bills to the promised land but alas, the Kansas City Chiefs stood in the way once again.

Kansas City beat Buffalo in the AFC Championship 32-29, ending Bills fans' hopes that the team would make it to their first Super Bowl of the 21st century. It wasn't meant to be this season, however, even with Allen's incredible MVP-caliber campaign during the regular season.

Following the loss in the AFC Championship Game, Allen and Patrick Mahomes met midfield, embraced, and had a respectful but short conversation. Mahomes told Allen he had a "hell of a year" while Allen's comments to Mahomes might make Bills fans a little queasy.

"Go get another one," Allen said to Mahomes after the game. Bills fans normally are on board with whatever Allen says but this is not something they're going to be in agreement with.

Bills fans will cringe at Josh Allen's comments to Patrick Mahomes

Allen's comments are a clear sign of respect between him and Mahomes but just because the Buffalo quarterback wants Mahomes to win another Super Bowl doesn't mean that Bills fans have to be on board with it. While Bills fans will watch yet another Super Bowl without their team in it, Chiefs fans will get to potentially witness their team make history as they go for three straight Super Bowl wins.

The Allen/Mahomes rivalry has become of the best in the NFL and while the Bills can get the better of Kansas City during the regular season, they've yet to be able to do it in the playoffs where it actually counts. The Chiefs have ended Buffalo's season in four of the last five years and, as Allen said in his post-game press conference, if the Bills want to be the best and hoist a Super Bowl, they have to beat the best.
