With the moves that the Buffalo Bills have made up to this point in free agency, it will be interesting to see the route they take in the first round of the draft. They are currently set to pick at No. 26 overall in the first round. After that, they do not have a second round pick as it was sent to the Bears as part of the D.J. Moore trade, so they will have to wait until the third round.
In addition to them getting Josh Allen a true WR1, they also added defensive help with Dee Alford, Bradley Chubb, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and Geno Stone. There is a good amount of change for the better in the secondary which is a great sign. At the same time, the Bills still need to add some more help and that is where the draft will tell us how this team could look in 2026 and beyond.
Even though Buffalo could still use more help on defense, the Bills still have to bring in some more wide receiver help. Even though Moore is an upgrade, the Bills need depth and they also need someone who can come in and play opposite of Moore.
Maybe Joshua Palmer or Keon Coleman will battle it out for that spot, but no one would be surprised if the Bills went with a wideout at No. 26 overall, and that’s what they do in Ed Edholm’s latest mock draft at NFL.com.
Bills add more WR help for Josh Allen in recent mock draft
In Edholm’s mock draft, the Bills acquire Texas A&M KC Concepcion who would be a great fit in Buffalo’s offense.
"Even with veteran trade acquisition DJ Moore in the fold, the Bills would surely welcome another multi-tool weapon such as Concepcion. Buffalo also has gone two seasons without returning a punt for a TD -- something Concepcion pulled off twice in 2025. His father, who played at the University of Buffalo, was a Bills fan, and so Concepcion grew up watching the team. " said Edholm.
Concepcion was electrifying for the Aggies in 2025 with 919 yards through the air to go with 9 touchdowns while averaging 15.1 yards per catch. He would bring a different element to this offense that it has been lacking for years.Â
Imagine the Bills lining up on offense where Josh Allen is under center and having James Cook in the backfield to go with D.J. Moore, KC Concepcion, Khalil Shakir, and Dalton Kincaid running down field…
That would be a solid offense that defenses would have problems stopping. Not to mention, Joe Brady will still be calling the plays and he has already proven to be a great playcaller. Getting Concepcion at No. 26 and not trading back would be a scenario that Bills fans should get behind on.
